  3. I have a 9 1/2 year old grand daughter who is just beginning to show the signs of Dissociative Identity Disorder due to many years of mental/physical/psychological and sexual abuse by a family member, she lives with my self, my husband, her mother and her two siblings and it has recently come to light about her condition, right now, she has 2 personalities, one is angry and mean, the other seems to be around 16 and is very nurturing and is infatuated with babies. This is a difficult time for her right now, she is isolated from our family, school, and friends many times and she is struggling. We live in the Florida Panhandle and I’m trying desperately to start getting her help and support to get the family through this. Her parents are divorced and it seems that the abuse is when she and her siblings are with their father and paternal grandmother and they refuse to deal with it at all, they just call all 3 children liars. I am desperately trying to reach out and find some support for her as well as our family. I am very very interested in getting some help and support for my granddaughter because I feel there will be many more personalities as she continues to grow and keep herself and her siblings safe. I hope that I hear from someone soon. I am desperately concerned
