Day 20 – How We Learn – Synapses and Neural Pathways
If you have been following the 31 Day challenge, you have heard several times that practicing mindfulness is like lifting a weight, it is an exercise which we must complete repeatedly to strengthen the muscle. Some of us have spent 20,30, or 60 years without practicing mindfulness, and our minds are conditioned to wander and be distracted, to stress and worry. It makes sense that we would need consistent practice and a fair amount of effort! I watch the video below often because it is a great visual on how difficult it can be to change years of mental programming!
